Thymeline 12 | Feast In Thyme

Living with a lack of a schedule, a divisive dessert, and lots of links this week on Thymeline.

Sam’s been away this weekend, and I’ve had the apartment all to myself. Even though we typically stay out of each other’s hair most of the day – him at his computer, me at my tablet in the living room – it’s odd how different it is. When he’s here, I eat to his schedule mostly – breakfast at 9am, lunch around noon, dinner sometime between 5pm and 7pm (depending on what I’m experimenting with that evening). Without him around, I just work on my projects and eat when I think to eat (which is likely less than I should). I apparently hate keeping a routine and break from it as soon as I’m given the chance. This is fine for a few days, but it’s likely a good thing he keeps me on a schedule!

The buzz around the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino went seriously crazy last week. I seem to be in the minority, but I personally liked mine – it tasted like a mango lassi on candy steroids with a touch of vanilla, which was just fine for a one-time limited edition treat. Now I’m inspired to make rainbow things – we’ll see where that ends up.

Other than that, I’ve been working pretty fervently on recipes for Cinco De Mayo, Mother’s Day, and another themed menu I’ll be serving a pair friends coming out to visit in two weeks. I’m excited about all of them, especially the last. Can’t wait to share them with you!

And now, the links:

On that note and until next time, cheers!
