Oven Roasted Pork Chops in Jalapeno Peach Whiskey Glaze

Oven Roasted Pork Chops in Jalapeno Peach Whiskey Glaze are succulent, sweet, and just a bit spicy! Make the glaze ahead of time for an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 Tbsp salt, plus more as needed
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup (8 oz) Jalapeno Peach Whiskey Glaze (recipe below)
  • 4-6 sage leaves optional

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Pat pork chops dry with a paper towel and season generously with salt and pepper. Heat the olive oil in a large skilled over medium high heat. Sear the outside of the pork chops, about 2 minutes on each side – just enough to give them some good color.
  3. Transfer the chops to a foil lined baking sheet, and cover each with a heaping spoonful of glaze and one or two sage leaves. Bake for 6 minutes, then flip the chops over and cover in another spoonful of glaze and more sage leaves. Cook in intervals of 5 minutes, checking for doneness until just cooked. Properly cooked pork chops should have an internal temperature of 145°F. Mine typically take about 15 minutes total in the oven, but this can vary depending on the thickness of the cut.

  4. Once done, let the chops rest for 5 minutes before cutting into them. Serve with your favorite vegetables and any extra glaze you might have on the side for a delicious meal.

Recipe Notes

 

One Pan and Done: If you prefer, you can sear the pork chops in an oven safe skillet, and then transfer that skillet directly to the oven rather than use a baking sheet lined with foil. This is a matter of preference. The glaze can get sticky, so I find it easier to just throw out the foil than clean it out of my pan, but both methods work perfectly fine!
