Cocktail Duo: Side Car & French 75 | A Roaring Retro New Year’s Eve
It’s been a long rough year for many of us. On a purely individual level, I have to say that my year has been stressful, but overall I have no rights to complain. After a lot of self-reflection and discussion, I left a position as a non-profit event manager this past fall to alleviate some stress and pursue more personal and creative projects (like this one). As I no longer needed to commute into New York City, we also moved out of Jersey City and our home state of New Jersey, choosing to settle in the more affordable and slower-paced suburbs of Wilmington, Delaware.…Continue reading Cocktail Duo: Side Car & French 75 | A Roaring Retro New Year’s Eve
Simple Citrus Cider Cocktail | An Autumn Affair
Well, I’d hoped to have this post up before Thanksgiving, but regrettably time has gotten away from me. The move has completely thrown off my planned schedule, but the plus side is that all of that will be done with in about a week and half. Hopefully, you still find these fall event ideas and tips useful during this busy season, and perhaps the Simple Citrus Cider Cocktail will be a welcome relief after a busy day of Black Friday shopping!
Maple-Bourbon Pumpkin Crème Brulée | An Autumn Affair
Sometimes you need a dessert that impresses; one that looks like it came right out of a restaurant kitchen. Today’s dessert recipe is decadent, perfect for fall without being cliché, not terribly difficult, and best of all, naturally gluten-free – Maple-Bourbon Pumpkin Crème Brulée. As an adult, it’s very hard for me to pass up crème brulée when it appears on a restaurant menu. For a long time, I think part of that was because it was something…Continue reading Maple-Bourbon Pumpkin Crème Brulée | An Autumn Affair
Roasted Pumpkin Baked Pasta | An Autumn Affair
I’m incredibly excited about today’s recipe. I spent a lot of time perfecting this one over the last couple of weeks. I tried various versions using different kinds of squash. I experimented with the cheese and pasta ratios. I even tried out different roasting methods. The end result is gooey and comforting like a decadent mac and cheese, but with the health bonuses of my favorite winter squash. Plus, there is bacon. Needless to say, I really love this recipe for Roasted Pumpkin Baked Pasta, and I hope you do too.
Apple and Sausage Stuffed Acorn Squash | An Autumn Affair
The second week of November has come up on us quickly, and it would be an understatement to say it’s merely been eventful.
